 1. What is your personal goal or aim with regards to the contribution to Project Orion III, in addition to the effort of Turtle conservation?

Other than making more friends from the project, i also hope to contribute to the team by making sure all of us are able to perform our task in the most efficient way. I like working in a team because i feel that teamwork brings out the best in everyone and we can all contribute our best to Project Orion III.

2. What motivates and inspires you to take up Project Orion III?
This is my first experience i will be having to be in direct contact with wildlife. The first time i heard of this i found this project very meaningful, because it have not only helped the turtles, in terms of helping them to achieve a higher survival rate in the sea, this project has also benefited the villagers staying in the area because we have assisted in providing them a better environment for living. Because of the underlying purpose of the project, i decided to take up Project Orion III

3. What are your views on Turtle conservation?

My understanding is that turtles often suffer a low mortality rate due to the weather and the environment. Some get eaten up by predators when they swim into the deep sea. I think the idea of turtle conservation is to increase the chances of survival by protecting their nests such they will be able to hatch before the attack by the predators. Every animal species must be preserved as far as possible as we learn our way of life through these creatures which have existed long before the first human appeared. Letting them become history would mean that future generations will not be able to appreciate what our ancestors have left behind for us.

4. How do you hope to further maximize the effort of the team in Turtle Conservation?

Firstly is to make sure that everybody understands the nature of the project and what are the do's and dont's of the project. After gaining a good understanding of turtles, while performing various tasks during the project, it is important to remind everyone the appropriate ways to handle things so that things that we do will not affect the livelihood of the turtles. Team effort can be maximized when we achieve synergies. I hope to be able to complement and support every team member so that all of us will have a fruitful journey during Project Orion III.
